Building the DY 16 with the finest materials and excellent craftsmanship provides her owners with years of worry-free sailing.  The photos above show a step by step build of a DY 16 owned by Adam Clay.  All construction taking place at Classic Boat facility in Portland Connecticut.
The DY 16 is now built with a molded weighted centerboard with airfoil section.  Older U.S. models were made with a one inch flat steel plate that restricted the DY 16 performance.
